I’ve been at the UM Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas, leading workshops at the first Young Preachers Festival. It’s amazing to be in the midst of 150+ 18-28 year-olds exploring their call to ordained ministry.

I love their honesty, their passion, their questions, and their hope—for their own vocation and for the church we all love.

God continues to raise up leaders, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and preachers of the great good news.

When you see our confirmands and our Youth Service Project team—many of whom returned to help out with Vacation Bible School, tell them you love them and ask them if just maybe they’ve heard a call from God, a nudge towards ordained ministry.

Let’s all play a role in encouraging the next generation of church leaders.
