Open Space is a gathering of young adults (18-35ish) that meets out in the community and in homes for conversations on faith and life, for growth, and for service, gathering always around a table. Around these tables, you are welcomed, affirmed, and celebrated in participation and in leadership from the very center of your identity.
Open Space Monthly Gathering is an alternative worship experience that meets in breweries, bars, and pizza parlors and welcomes people of all/no religious/faith backgrounds to engage in topical conversation around a table, followed by communion and a service project. Food is always provided, and beverages are available.
We also meet weekly, extending the invitation to deeper Christian community by gathering in homes for friendship, Bible study, and spiritual growth.

The Open Table
Led by Ben and Karen Ing, this group consists of those already working in their careers, young families and not-so-young families. The group meets at members’ homes each Sunday night at 6:30 p.m. for dinner and discussion of current events. Open Table also plans social outings throughout the year, including seeing plays together, trips to Disneyland and the Santa Monica Pier.
simple supper is a potluck gathering of the simple church community. At simple church, we strive to live by a rule of life in three simple rules: do no harm, do good, stay/grow in love with God. This has never been easy, but the first church in Acts 2 laid a foundation. They implemented a simple program to support one another in Christian living: prayer, study, fellowship, and eating together. Sharing a meal has always been a holy act of hospitality and of fellowship, and there is no reason to make it complicated; bring a dish to share, eat, and enjoy. There is no need to RSVP, all are welcome, and we will celebrate with those who are present. So join the simple church community after worship at 6 p.m. in the Fireside Room on the 2nd Sunday of each month.
The Shareringers is a group of mostly retired, but active people. We meet monthly for a Friday potluck dinner with a speaker in the Fireside Room. We alternate religious programs with travel, book sharing, and topics-of-current interest programs. Also, we have an outing each month, such as museum tours, barbecues and picnics, game nights, theatre outings, restaurant dining, and craft making. Each year in March we gather in Palm Desert for a weekend to catch up with people who have moved away, enjoy desert hikes, golfing, shopping, and a great BBQ. Our annual Christmas Party is full of delicious desserts, Christmas caroling, and warm friendship. We are a caring, sharing group and welcome new members!
