All are invited to attend this timely 3-part panel, organized by First UMC church member Ken Rasmussen. The program is designed to provide information and different perspectives. Grab your Coffee Hour snacks beforehand and join the discussion in the Fireside Room. There will be a time for questions. (Child care provided.)
Speakers include:
- Amy Phillips & Stacey Killinger (Moms Demand Action) will give an overview of their organization and speak about their priorities on the state and national level.
- Karl Richter – (Be Smart) will discuss a program that teaches safe ownership and storage of firearms to reduce teen and child suicide and unintentional shootings.
- Suzanne Verge – (President of LA Chapter of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence) As long-time member of the organization, Suzanne will discuss the gun violence prevention movement, Brady’s legislative priorities, and how her group operates.
