Blessing of the Bicycles, Walkers, Canes & Human Mobility Devices
Sunday March 25 at 4:30 p.m., Courtyard and Fireside Room
In place of the March 25 simple church Chapel service, we will gather out in the Courtyard to hold this special new service. Bring your walkers, hiking boots, bikes, scooters, running shoes, canes, or whatever helps you get around town.
As we consider the gift of creation this season, and how to be better stewards of this gift, we are taking some time to bless the devices that helps us to navigate this world by human power. Bring an appetizer dish to share – a “finger foods” potluck will follow the blessing in the Fireside Room.
Simple Church Saturday Easter Vigil
Saturday March 31 at 7:30 p.m., Courtyard, Chapel
This ancient liturgy (worship) is a service of light, word and table (Communion) where we remember God’s life-giving acts from the passage from slavery to freedom, from sin to salvation, from death into new life. The service will begin in the courtyard with a procession of light moving into our chapel.
We are a community of prayer, love and service.
simple church is a community of folks cultivating calm, centered and compassionate lives. As a community we will strive to live life based on three simple rules:
1. Do no harm
2. Do good
3. Stay in love with God
The Sunday evening gatherings are intimate, informal and a contemplative time of meditation. We hear a talk and are able to share from our own experience. We end with a sacred meal of Holy Communion.
