• 9:30 a.m. Childcare is available on Sunday mornings in Room 204 of the Educational Building for children between the ages of 6 months and 2 years.
• 10 a.m. Children attend worship in the sanctuary with their families.
• 10:15 a.m. After the Children’s Message during worship, Sunday School teachers walk children to their classes, but parents are always welcome to join us. Kids Zone – Although children are always welcome in the sanctuary sometimes they want a little more space. The Kids Zone, stocked with toys and books, is a comfortable area for families to hear and see the service from the narthex, just outside of the sanctuary. Look for the Kids Zone sign. Ushers are available for assistance.
A changing table is available in the restroom across the hall from the Fireside Room kitchen. High chairs are also available for use during Coffee Hour after service.
Sunday School
Sunday School is a time when we learn how the Bible contains stories that teach us valuable life lessons. Together we explore what it means to love God and to love others by way of crafts, music and movement, and monthly service projects.
3rd Sundays – Children’s Church
Make a Joyful Noise
Children’s Church is a monthly gathering for children to learn about God and God’s loving activity in the world through singing, instruments and movement.
4th Sundays – Faith in Action
Community Service
Faith is more than a belief, it is an action. Once a month, all children and youth gather together for a hands-on community service project. Projects vary from crafty outreach such as making notes for home-bound community members, to gathering and donating school supplies for local students.
Parents are invited and encouraged to take an occasional Sunday off from sanctuary worship, and to spend it with their child in Sunday School.
Sunday School Curriculum
The Sunday School Curriculum we use is called Deep Blue Kids. It includes adventure, exciting stories, science experiments, arts and crafts, animated video storytelling, and active games—all combined into a living-faith experience that will help children discover what it means to follow Jesus Christ today.
2020 Sunday School teachers: Jamie Jones, Dot Plukas, Emily Plukas, Sandra Jones, Virginia Pelton, and Janet Bogle.
Family Sundays
Children remain with their families for congregational worship for there is no Sunday school. Worship activity packets for children can be found with the ushers. Family Sundays usually occur around major holidays, such as Easter, Christmas, and Thanksgiving.
