Sacred Yoga Update!Sacred Yoga has been meeting one Saturday a month for practice, stillness and a talk. Saturday August 26 will be the final Sacred Yoga class of the season. Instructor Temitope is heading to West Africa on an extended spiritual pilgrimage. Sacred Yoga will be on hiatus starting in September as we send Temitope off with our prayers and gratitude for leading and guiding our Sacred Yoga practice over the past year and a half.

Teacher Temitope

Born and raised in southern California, Temitope began practicing yoga asana in earnest after a series of revelatory life experiences. First UMC of Santa Monica’s PAUSE (contemplative prayer) program was a transformative point on his spiritual path. The small always-open-door chapel was a literal gateway to his connection to First UMC. Temitope relies on the Eternal life force energy

(prana/qi/ase) to guide his life, practice and classes. Temitope currently teaches all levels at Santa Monica Power Yoga and Core Power Yoga in West Los Angeles.
