Preschool Parent Events

  • School Closed: Monday, January 15 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

January – We will be celebrating a new tradition at FUMC Preschool: “Health and Wellness Week” – A collaboration between preschool and parents. During the week of Jan. 16 our classroom teachers will be helping children learn various ideas on how to promote healthy eating and wellness into their daily lives.

On Wednesday, Jan. 17 we will host our annual Jog-a-Thon with an emphasis on maintaining a level of physical activity that will fit the needs of each child. Classes will have a designated time to “run” around our labyrinth in Simkins Hall.

On Thursday, Jan. 18 from 8:15-9:15 a.m. we will host our monthly courtyard coffee hour emphasizing yummy healthy beverages and treats for parents.

Come join us into the Fireside Room for a parent discussion led by a panel of experts on how to promote and maintain wellness in young children.  More details to be announced!

On Friday, Jan. 19 the week will end with a Pajama Day at school and a Movie Night at 5:30 p.m. (light dinner will be served) in Simkins Hall.

Big “Thanks!” to Monica Lin and her parent volunteers to help us organize these fun events.
