United Women in Faith Book Study
The United Women in Faith are excited to host a book study featuring the book, The Book of Hope: A Survival Guide for Trying Times, by Dr. Jane Goodall and Douglas Abrams with Gail Hudson. In this New York Times best seller, Jane Goodall, the world‘s most famous naturalist, and Douglas Abrams, the internationally best selling co-author of The Book of Joy, explore one of the most sought after and least understood elements of human nature: hope. The book is at the library in book, e-book and audiobook formats.

United Women in Faith Mission Statement
United Women in Faith seeks to connect and nurture women through Christian spiritual formation, leadership development, creative fellowship, and education so that they can inspire, influence, and impact local and global communities.
Vision
Turning faith, hope, and love into action on behalf of women, children, and youth around the world.
Purpose
We are:
A community of women whose purpose is to know God and experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

- January Game Day
- St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon
- High School Seniors Scholarship Luncheon
- Christmas in July Boutique and Bake Sale
- Women’s Tea
- Peanut Brittle making – to be sold at our Christmas Boutique
Through these events, we have been able to support the following local and global missions/organizations:
- The Westside Food Bank
- The People Concern
- Children, Youth, and Family Collaborative
- Meals on Wheels
- The Wesley Foundation serving UCLA
- Step Up on Second Street
- United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR)
